Chart Your Own Adventure on the Mighty Mississippi!

Get ready for a unique Mississippi River experience where your preferences, along with the gentle guidance of wind and weather, shape our journey.

 

Our adventure begins in LeClaire, Iowa. From there, we'll head north, cruising along the Iowa side of the river and offering you lovely views of Port Byron, Illinois. As we glide past Princeton, Iowa, we'll make a gentle turn eastward for a special stop at Bob Windt Island. Here, you'll have a chance to stretch your legs and explore this scenic spot for a bit.

 

Next, we'll steer west to enter the picturesque Steamboat Slough, which gracefully leads us into Shricker Slough. You'll then enjoy views of Camanche, Iowa, as we continue our river exploration. We'll cross the river near Albany, Illinois, and journey behind Beaver Island into the tranquil Cattail Slough – a perfect opportunity to spot local wildlife!

 

As we approach Clinton, Iowa, you'll get an up-close look at the impressive Lock and Dam #13. Then, it's time for a delightful stop in Clinton itself! We'll pause at the renowned Candlelight Inn. You'll have the freedom to decide how long we stay – anywhere from a quick 30-minute visit to a more leisurely 1.5 hours. Whether you choose to enjoy the Inn, take a scenic walk, or explore another local spot, the choice is yours!
